The New Jersey Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Council, in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of Emergency Medical Services, announces the fourteenth annual New Jersey EMS Awards Program. These awards recognize EMS providers who have gone beyond what is expected of them in their day‑to‑day duties. The Office of Emergency Medical Services is excited to announce the NJ CAE METI Games at the New Jersey Conference on EMS in Atlantic City.
Watch teams test their abilities as the manage a critically ill or injured patient. The human patient simulators are just that… almost human. They have palpable pulses, respirations, lung sounds, are able to be defibrillated, intubated, and receive IV therapy.
Each team is paired up with another team (ALS with BLS or BLS with ALS) as they compete in the Annual NJ EMS METI Games competition. Teams will not know who they are paired with until the competition. The scenario will start with BLS providers initiating treatment and ALS crews joining the scenario. The teams will be judged independently. Teams consist of 2 BLS providers or 2 ALS Providers.
